Adapted from the popular novel Rebirth of the Female General, this drama follows He Yan, the eldest daughter of the He family forced to disguise herself as the family's legitimate heir He Rufei to preserve their noble status. In her youth, He Yan encounters the gifted Xiao Jue at Xianchang Academy, but later abandons scholarly pursuits to forge her own destiny on the battlefield.
